Cher

Although best known for being a great singer, Cher is also a television personality, actress, director, record producer and philanthropist. She has won many awards for her work in film, music and television and is the only person to have won in all of these categories. Some achievement eh? At the start of the 80s she gave us that great hit Dead Ringer for Love which she dueted with Meatloaf, and which gave her her first top 5 hit in the UK in ten years. She then turned her hand to acting and starred in quite a few films and won awards for her roles in, Silkwood, (her first award), Mask and Moonstruck. She then went back to music and included on her Heart of Stone album was one of her most memorable songs (not to mention the video and THAT outfit, which caused it to get banned from TV stations initially until MTV started playing it, but after 9pm!) If I could Turn Back Time. Another great song from the album was Just Like Jesse James. The album proved immensely successful, selling 11 million copies worldwide.
